Deutscher Text oben: Streets of Gibraltar very challenging. Headwinds up to 25 knots. Needed the engine. Finally, at 6 pm, we pass the rock of Gibraltar. What a relief. Thereafter dinner with tuna, spaghetti and tomato sauce. For dessert, Aiden has prepared an excellent British cheesecake. Then the last night, with last night shifts. At 4.30 am we have docked the boat in the marina of Benalmadena. All of a sudden everything gets enormously quiet. Yes, a boat is safest in the harbor. But that's not what it's built for. For today - however - we're happy to be in that safe place. We did it! Crossing Northern Atlantic in April. 3.5 weeks at sea, non-stop, exposed to the moods of nature and on our own. A fantastic time with numerous and unforgettable impressions. Unforgettable also the excellent teamwork of our crew of 4. New friendships have been fostered. They will last.
Many thanks for having been interested in our blog. We always had the impression to be connected to you. We wish you a pleasant day and all the best. The crew.
'If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.'
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
'Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.'
Mark Twain
